Sales Policy

All goats are sold as healthy at the time they leave our farm; no other guarantees to the future health, height, or quality of any animal is guaranteed. Goats are herd animals which means they must have companionship for health and happiness, yours as well as theirs. We will not sell a goat to a home that does not have other goats or is not prepared to buy two goats.

Purchasing kids:

We do not take reservations but maintain a wish list for each pairing. There is no wish list for specific colors or traits. If you put down for a specific pairing in the hopes of getting a moonspotted, polled, or blue-eyed animal, please let me know. However, I do not maintain a separate wish list - thank you. Please contact us via messenger or via our webpage contact tab; let us know which breeding(s) you are interested in; and I will add you to the list. We reserve the right to retain any kid. Once we know what will be available from that kidding, everyone on the list will be contacted with an “available” or “not available”. When you have made your selection, a non-refundable deposit per kid is required to hold the animal(s) until pick-up arrangements can be finalized (no kid will be held until a deposit is made) unless otherwise specified. In the event something happens between time of birth and pickup, we will gladly refund your deposit or apply it toward a different kid that would also fit your needs, whichever you prefer. The remaining balance is due prior to the selected kid(s) leaving our farm. All kids will be available for pickup at 8 weeks old or earlier/later as stated or agreed upon. Our kids are

⁃ Dam raised (we do not sell bottle babies unless otherwise noted)

⁃ Socialized

⁃ Disbudded (no exceptions unless naturally polled)

⁃ Wethers are wethered using a side crusher (aka burdizzo)

⁃ Given coccidia prevention

⁃ Hoof trimmed (as time allows)

Please note: we cannot guarantee no scurs.

Purchasing Adult Goats:

A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to hold an animal. The remaining balance is due at pick-up. Adult goats must be picked up within 2 weeks unless otherwise agreed upon or a $2 per day boarding fee may be charged. A doe sold as exposed/bred is not guaranteed to be pregnant, only guaranteed to have received normal exposure to the specified buck. If a bred doe is purchased she MUST be picked up before the last month of pregnancy (unless otherwise agreed upon) or the resulting offspring will become the property of Grey Vale Dairy Goats.

Pricing:

All wethers are sold at $75 each, or two for $50 each. Unregistered intact bucks are sold at $125, unregistered doelings are between $200 and $275, and registered doelings are between $300 and $450 unless otherwise specified. These are ballpark ranges only and are dependent upon the quality of the parents, kids, and the going market rate.

All prices are non-negotiable (aka set in stone).

Payment/Transport:

We accept Cash, PayPal (via friends and family option ONLY), and checks (for deposits only, not at time of pickup). Our PayPal name is greyvalegoats@gmail.com. We do NOT accept checks or payment plans at time of pickup. $100 deposits are required to hold an animal unless otherwise stated. All goats MUST be paid in full before or during pickup. No Exceptions. Any and all costs associated with shipping or transportation, including any health certificates and related testing, are the responsibility of the buyer. If desiring to see pics or videos of an animal before placing a deposit, please know that we do not place holds on animals without a deposit; therefore, the first person to make the deposit will receive the animal. All deposits received are non-refundable should the purchaser back out for any reason. We also reserve the right to refuse any sale without explanation, but in such a case, will provide a full refund. Please note: Once an animal leaves our farm, the sale is final.

We do NOT allow FARM VISITS. I will send pictures and/or videos of any animal you are interested in. However, due to our desire to maintain a closed herd for the health and well-being of our animals as well as our busy family life, we do not allow anyone into our goat pastures or barns. All pickups are done in our driveway or at a previously planned meeting area. We do not make exceptions. Thank you for understanding.

Farm pick ups:

We understand things happen, please let us know ASAP if you are unable to come on the mutually agreed upon day/time OR if you are going to be late. If possible, message us when you are 20 minutes away, so we can be sure to have your animal(s) in the driveway ready to go. We can reschedule once if you unexpectedly cannot make it, however, multiple cancellations will result in boarding charges for the care and feed your goat will require ($2 per day per goat beginning on the day of the second cancellation) which MUST be paid before pick up. If not picked up within 30 days of the original agreed upon pickup date, the sale will be forfeited. In the event of such an occurrence, any money paid including but not limited to the deposit will NOT be refunded. All farm pickups will be in the driveway. To maintain herd health and security, please remain in the driveway while we bring you your animal(s).

Health:

Goats purchased from Grey Vale Dairy Goats are sold healthy and sound at the time of purchase. We cannot make any guarantee of health or quality once an animal leaves our care. Should an animal become ill or injured while in our care, we will provide any and all treatment necessary at no cost to you. This may result in a later pick up date as we do not release any sick/injured animals! Should this happen, you will be notified and updated on the kid's progress, or offered the option for a new kid as we deem necessary. Please note: all sales are Caveat Emptor. Our herd is tested for CAE and Johnes, and no signs of CL are present.

This Sales Agreement must be signed below and returned with your deposit (via email or picture). For ease, you may print and bring to the pickup. Thank you!

By buying a goat from us, you agree to the above terms and conditions.
